Ages 5–8 StoryStardust School
"Miss Luna, I think my tail is broken." It's Cassie's first morning at Stardust School, which floats out past the Moon on a drifting cloud of silver dust, and Miss Luna, who runs it, is a star. Cassie flies left, right, and upside down, and her tail keeps pointing the same way. Miss Luna says never mind it, and takes the class on a field trip: Mercury in a hurry, Venus under its hot blanket, Earth blue and turning, dusty red Mars, Jupiter with a storm wider than Earth, and Saturn with rings of ice, with Uranus on its side and windy Neptune named from a distance. Then it's home time, everything out there is black and shining and looks the same, and every comet points a different way. Cassie is the one who works it out. Two pauses: your child says the planet roll call with the class, and points the way home before Cassie explains it. Every fact sourced and checked. Ends with her tail, as usual, going the other way.

What's inside
Cassie the comet's tail won't stay behind her, Miss Luna says ignore it, and when the class gets lost past Saturn, that tail is the only compass they have.
Visits Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn with one real fact each, names Uranus and Neptune from a distance, and meets Miss Luna, a star who has been telling comets to ignore their tails for four hundred years.
Two built-in pauses: your child says the roll call, 'Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune,' then points toward home before Cassie does. Facts sourced and checked.
