From download to play in about two minutes.
Every Little Ears story is a plain MP3 with no copy protection. Save it once, then load it wherever your family listens. Pick your player below.
Save the file first
- 1Open your download email (subject "Your Little Ears downloads") or the order page and tap Download MP3.
- 2On a computer it lands in Downloads. On iPhone, tap the download icon in Safari, then find it in the Files app under Downloads. On Android it goes to your Downloads folder.
- 3Bought a bundle? Each story is its own MP3, and every story opens with a spoken title, so several can share one Creative Tonie or card and your child still knows what's playing.
Creative Tonie
What you need: a Creative Tonie (the paintable kind, not a story Tonie), the free tonies® app or my.tonies.com, and your Toniebox on Wi-Fi.
From your phone
- 1Open the tonies® app and tap your Creative Tonie.
- 2Tap the upload icon and choose the MP3 you saved. Repeat for each story.
- 3With no Tonie on the box, pinch one Toniebox ear for about 3 seconds until it chimes and the light flashes blue. Wait for solid green.
- 4Set the Creative Tonie on the box. It plays.
From a computer
- 1Go to my.tonies.com and sign in with your tonies account.
- 2Pick your Creative Tonie, then drag your MP3s in or choose Browse Files.
- 3Sync the Toniebox the same way: pinch an ear, blue flash, wait for green, place the Creative Tonie.
Good to know
A Creative Tonie holds 90 minutes. Our stories run 3 to 10 minutes each, so one figure fits a whole bundle with room left. Swipe left on a track in the app to remove it. After the first sync the audio is stored on the box and plays without Wi-Fi.
Yoto Player
What you need: a blank Make Your Own card (one came with your player), the Yoto app, and your player on Wi-Fi.
Make the playlist
- 1On a computer, go to my.yotoplay.com/my-cards and sign in with the same email you use in the Yoto app. On a phone, open the Yoto app, go to Make Your Own, and tap New Playlist; it opens the same page in your browser.
- 2Tap MAKE NEW, upload your MP3s, and give the playlist a name your child will recognize.
- 3Pick a pixel icon for each track if you like, then tap SAVE.
Link it to the card
- 4Back in the Yoto app, find the new playlist in your library and open it.
- 5Tap the three-dot menu and choose Link to a Card.
- 6Slide a blank Make Your Own card into the player and tap Link. You'll see a red record icon, then a green tick.
- 7Take the card out and put it back in. It plays.
Good to know
One card holds up to 100 tracks or 500 MB, and each track can be up to 60 minutes. Cards are reusable, so you can overwrite one whenever you want a fresh mix.
Phone, speaker and car
- iPhone or iPad: open the MP3 from the Files app and press play, or AirPlay it to a speaker. To add it to the Music app, drag the file into Music on a Mac or PC and sync.
- Android: open it from Downloads in any music or file app.
- Bluetooth speaker: play from your phone and connect to the speaker as usual.
- Car: connect your phone by Bluetooth or cable, or copy the MP3s to a USB stick for cars with a USB port.
Troubleshooting
New story isn't on the Toniebox.+
Re-sync: pinch an ear until the blue flash, wait for solid green, then place the Creative Tonie again.
Upload fails.+
Make sure the file finished downloading (a half-downloaded MP3 won't upload). Then try again from a computer.
Yoto card plays the old content.+
Take the card out and reinsert it. If that doesn't do it, repeat Link to a Card.
Can't find the download.+
